Description
A male actor from the Mission Play, ca. 1920s. The performer, in his missionary costume but with a modern hat on his head and cigar or cigarette in his mouth, stands with two other actors to the right in front of the Mission San Gabriel stone church. Inscribed at the top is "Mission Play." On the reverse is a stamp from The Photo Shop in Alhambra. With slight warping and light soiling, the condition is good.
