Description

A photograph of a man using a tin basin taken at the Workman Homestead, California in 1912. The man wears a hat, rolled up sleeved shirt and pants. He is unidentified but appears in other images within this acquisition while performing farm work. He was presumably a hired employee. In this image he is using a tin basin to either wash something or prepare food while their are smaller containers behind him and rows of trees and is standing in a field. There appears to be a container of sorts and a canvas draped on the side shown at the far left of the image. The land once belonged to William Workman and was formerly known as Rancho La Puente. With moderate warping, abrasion to the edges, missing bottom edges, creasing, stains and fading, the object is in good condition overall.
