Description
A Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company check of Walter P. Temple, 18 April 1908. It is made out to Giovanni Piuma for $20 with stamps for Piuma and Merchants National Bank of Los Angeles on the reverse. Piuma was long the lessee of the Temple family adobe on Rancho La Merced, though it is not known if this was the case at the time or if Piuma had moved his winery business solely to Los Angeles by then. With creases, folds, browning and a stain, the condition is fair.
