Description

A negative of the entrance and nearby portions of the John C. Fremont branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, ca. 1927. The image shows a woman sitting on a rail at the distinctive rotunda entrance of the Spanish Colonial Revival one-story structure, which also features a tile roof, iron grilles and other details. The building at Melrose Avenue and June Street opened in June 1927 and still stands. The condition appears to be good.
