Description

A negative of what looks to be a road crew, probably near Puente, California, ca. 1922. The view may be of Valley Boulevard looking westward with the road having a machine digging a trench and workers on the machine and near it. There is also a pile of material, perhaps gravel, at the left. In the distance, at left, are some hills, maybe the Puente Hills in present Hacienda Heights. The negative is on Kodak safety film, perhaps suggesting a later date than the other negatives in this accession, also of note is the automobile in the background. The car appears to be a 1950s station wagon, possibly a Studebaker. The condition seems to be good.
