Description

A note regarding two of A. Grover's properties, ca. 1918. The note is written on the back side of an unfilled triplicate receipt for the purchase of a property in the Santa Anita Tract in Monrovia, California. Mr. Grover's phone number is present at the top of the note, along with what is presumably his current location: Covina, California. The first property is described as being 40 acres with a 5-room house; planted to oranges and walnuts; and located in Covina. Mr. Grover prices this property at $75,000. The other property is described as being 10 acres with a 5-room house; planted to Valencia oranges, walnuts, and lemons; and located near Charter Oak. Mr. Grover prices this property at $25,000. Some of the text is hard to discern. With creases; minor foxing; minor acid burns; rust and other stains; minor tears; and two holes, the object is in fair condition overall.
