Description
A pamphlet issued by the Passenger Department, Los Angeles Terminal Railway, ca. 1900s. The item was promoted for "the tourist and pleasure seeker" and "to draw attention to a few of the many historic and picturesque points of interest on the line of the Los Angeles Terminal Railway." To that end, photos of Terminal Island and Long Beach predominate, while there are also views Catalina Island, Pasadena and the Cawston Ostrich Farm—all with brief captions. A map of the railway lines from Terminal Island to Los Angeles and branches to Glendale and Pasadena is on the inside back cover. The wrappers have edge tears and rubbing, soiling and staining and pages are soiled and stained, so the condition is fair.
