Description
A pamphlet, Los Angeles Guide and Apartment House Directory, July 1924. The pamphlet was printed as a monthly free tourist publication to encourage settlement in Los Angeles. It lists all apartment houses in alphabetical order with phone numbers. Photographs of some buildings are scattered throughout as well as advertisements for local restaurants and services. At the center is Clason's map of the Los Angeles district. Towards the end are several pages with suggestions for hiking trails in the San Gabriels and Sierra Madres as well as day excursions in the area. The item is in poor condition, a page torn out in the front, heavy foxing on the cover, fragile cover pages tearing at the fold, moderate staining throughout.
