Description

A panoramic photograph of the corner of Sixth and Olive Streets and nearby areas, looking west on Sixth, Los Angeles, Putnam Studios, 1920s. The photographer was on an upper floor of a building at the southwest corner and mostly captured activity on Olive Street going north. Several commercial buildings including a Greek Revival building at the northeast corner of Sixth and Olive, a large structure with two wings to the north, and the Hotel Savor further up Olive are of note. In the distance are Poundcake Hill and Fort Moore Hill. Many automobiles, several streetcars, and pedestrians are also in view. Some pencil markings and a stamp for the photography studio are on the reverse. There is a stain at the upper left, some light soiling, a small piece of a corner missing and some creases, but the overall condition is good.
