Description
A panoramic view of a car race at Ascot Speedway, Los Angeles, 10 April 1921. Taken from the grandstand at one side of the track, the view takes in a few cars presumably being guided to the starting line. In the infield are cars and crowds of people as well as a small covered structure at left, in which persons are standing. Across the track is another grandstand about two-thirds full. In the distance are stands of trees and mountains. At the bottom left margin is the ink inscription, "Sun April 10, 1921. Los Angeles." The paper has some yellowing and is slightly curved, but the condition is good overall.
