A stereoscopic photograph of a parade, Los Angeles, California, 1883. The image was taken from a balcony, and shows men in uniform lining up for a parade. The men appear to be firemen or police men, with musicians at the front and back of the group. A crowed of people as well as horse and wagons can be seen on both side of the street. The buildings in the background contain a furniture store, grocery store, as well as others. To the left of the photo is a label for Alf. A. Rounds, Photographer, Los Angeles, Cal. The reverse, in ink, is written "Street parade / Los Angeles / California / Notice the band at rest / at head of parade." With abrasion on all edges, warping, and corners, yellowing, staining, moisture damage, and accretions, the object is in fair condition overall.
