Description

A Pasadena monument composed of roses, taken by T. G. Norton, Pasadena, ca. 1900. The eight foot tall column with a key and crown on top is made out of roses. "Pasadena" is written on the base, also using roses. Behind it is a rose float. Based on the pencil inscription on reverse the monument was constructed for the Los Angeles Fair. The item is in fair condition. Left and right bottom corners of the mount are missing due to possible rodent damage, a tear at center, foxing, and also moderate surface soiling throughout.
