Description
A pencil drawing of a stained glass window panel design, Los Angeles Art Glass Company, ca. 1920s. The item is on paper and is a pencil drawing of a six-piece panel, two longer ones on the side and four smaller ones at the top between the other two. The windows have a flowering vine motif running through each panel. At the center is a pencil inscription: "The owner things there is a quite a large space / wanted to know if you could break it / up some and / not detract frmo the looks." At the bottom is a company stamp and the number "S26" in a circle. On the back is an ink inscription, "SK. 1853" and a stamp indicating that the company was sole owner of the sketch. A partially faded pencil inscription reads "Painted to make it / look old." With soiling, edge rubbing, a few tears, a missing lower right corner, some stains and corner bumping, the condition is fair.
