The view shows several men below a collapsed steel trestle and one of the locomotives card in ruins above it at the crash site west of Puente and north of Whittier. The train, bound from Los Angeles to Chicago, was crossing Puente Creek, when the trestle collapsed due to flood waters from heavy storms. Two persons died and six were injured of fifteen passengers. On the reverse in ink is "Union Pacific" and "Feb 1927" and in pencil is "Disasters, Train or Railway." With creases, soiling, discoloration, small stains on the reverse and rubbing, the overall condition is good to fair.
