Description
A photo of boxers Tommy Burns and Jack O'Brien at their Los Angeles match, 8 May 1907. The image shows the men in fighting poses with an accompanying description stating that they "square off before start of their bout in Los Angeles. Burns won 20-round bout." More inscriptions are on the reverse. The fight was shrouded in controversy over O'Brien's tactics. With a crease at the top left, very small stains, soiling, corner pin holes and a small tear at the right edge, the condition is good overall.
