Description
A photo of dancers and actors from the Mission Play, Dick Whittington. 27 January 1921. The eight persons, who are paired off, are in a landscaped area in a courtyard next to the San Gabriel playhouse and include, at the lower right, principal dances Juan Zorraquinos and wife Juanita Vigare. The others are in "Spanish" costume, except a man dressed as a native American and sporting a feathered headdress like the Indians of the Plains states would wear. On the reverse is Whittington's stamp and a penciled date of "1-27-21." With a major crease at the upper left, dogeared corners, slight warping and some soiling, the condition is fair.
