A photograph of a Chinese dragon float, Chinatown, Los Angeles, Frank L. Park, ca. 1890s. Taken from an upper floor of a structure, the image shows the long piece carried through the dirt street of the area where Union Station is today and with rough wood houses and other structures flanking the road. Smoke may indicate where fireworks were set off during the parade, perhaps part of La Fiesta de Los Angeles. The photo was originally adhered to an album page but was removed for conservational reasons. With moderate creases, minor soiling, and adhesive residue, the condition is good.
