Description

A photograph of a mission archway, California, ca. 1920s. In view is a corridor arches of a mission and possibly taken from its courtyard area. The exact mission is unknown but an inscription written on the reverse side questions if it is Santa Ines Mission in Solvang, California. The archway is visible in front of overgrown shrubbery with chicken wire sectioning of the section where the photographer stood and possible courtyard. Behind the archway is a wall, presumably from the church or other building attached to the mission. The archway and building appear to be in a dilapidated state. With minor warping, an ink inscription, stamps of "ANDERSON/PHOTO SERVICE/EL MONTE, CALIF." and the number "41," it is in good condition.
