A photograph of an automobile race, Los Angeles, by Galligan and Hawthorne, 1920s. The view taken from the side of a curve on the oval track shows a group of four cars in close proximity as they near the turn. In the background left is part of a grandstand. At right is the infield with tents set up, a judging platform in place and spectators sprinkled throughout. In the distance are some bare hills with a Wester Auto Supply sign and another for the Rajo valve company on the slope. The photographer's stamp is on the reverse, where there is some album paper residue, minor warping, and light soiling, the condition is good.
