Description
A photograph of an old grapevine plant in San Gabriel, March 1918. A view of the trunk of a grapevine plant and the above wooden trellis. The vine is not in bloom with only branches visible. A sign is hung from the trellis indicating it was planted in 1775, covers 10,000 square feet of ground, originally owned by San Gabriel Mission but was then owned by Mrs. Kate C. Bayly McCormick. The photograph includes a pencil inscription on the reverse and is in good condition with a minor crease to the right edge.
