Description
A photograph of Chinese marchers with a long dragon float, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The group of participants, with the float, part of which is resting on wood sawhorses is at the side of a wide dirt street in front a long two-story commercial building, perhaps as they wait for the parade, likely part of La Fiesta de Los Angeles, to begin. With fading, light creasing and soiling on the image and minimal wear to the album page on which it is mounted, the condition is good.
