A photograph of Los Angeles City Hall, C. C. Pierce, 1890. The image shows the front elevation and the south side of the structure. The Romanesque building has the lower portion with a sandstone block facade, a tall tower at its north end, a three-arched main entrance at the center and a quartet of flues at its south end. The date of construction is at the upper right of the building. Pencil inscriptions on the reverse give the date of construction and its 1929 demolition. With minimal soiling and rubbing, the condition is good overall.
