Description
A photograph of miners in San Gabriel Canyon, 26 October 1923. The snapshot shows two men dumping material from a cart on a track, while a third man sits on a wooden table or bench observing them. In the background is a portion of a canyon or mountain wall, likely in or near the East Fork of the San Gabriel River where, historically, most mining in the canyon has concentrated. In pencil on the reverse is "Oct 26, 1923 / San Gabriel Canyon." With some corner creases and light soiling, the condition is good.
