Description

A photograph of Nellie Didier and Thomas Temple, southeastern gate of the Mission Walkway, Homestead, ca. 1920s. Nellie and Thomas are standing outside the southeastern gate near the Mission Walkway. Nellie wears a matching cardigan sweater, skirt, and blouse. She has her hair short and styled in a Marcel wave. She wears a long strand of pearls, pendant ring on her right hand, and Oxford shoes. Nellie smiles at the camera and holds her hands at ther waist. Thomas stands at the right, standing at an angle that shows his profile as he looks at Nellie. He has his arm stretched out holding onto the gate. He wears a fedora hat, pinstrip suit and holds a coat in his other arm. Behind them is the southeastern gate closed, further back is a view of the eastern side of La Casa Nueva's portico, woodenpoles of the east wing patio. Near their feet is the top of the Workman dedication plaque. With minor soiling and a photographer's stamp on the reverse "22," and a faint stamp of "VELOX," it is in good condition.
