Description

A photograph of the aftermath of a building fire at Ninth Street, Los Angeles Market, ca. 1920s. The large hall-type building is in ruins with a missing roof and a gutted interior. Wood rubble is visible on the ground as well as a trail of water used in the rescue of the building. Spectators are gathered in front of the shell of the building. A sign for the lunch room is visible to the right. In the distance is a sign for the Aristo Building. The photograph is in good condition overall despite the minor loss to the top corners and some fading of the image.
