Description

A photograph of the cast of "The Sunshine Idea", Henry Wenger, Los Angeles, ca. late 1920s. The image shows the five men and fifteen women posed on the stage and a flower decorated set of risers for the theatrical performances produced by Fanchon and Marco. One man, who is seated, holds three balls and was undoubtedly a juggler. A woman and man to his right are in blackface. Most of the women with fan-shaped headdresses are likely a dance troupe. On the reverse is a pasted-down caption reading, "The Aseembled Cast of Fanchon & Marco's 'Sunshine' Idea Playing at the ---------------- Theatre." A Fanchon and Marco stamp is underneath this. With a few creases, light soiling and minor rubbing, the condition is good to fair condition.
