Description
A photograph of the Los Angeles Trust and Savings Bank Building, Los Angeles, ca. 1911. The height-limit structure at the corner of Spring and 6th streets had a narrow frontage at the main entrance on Spring and stretched much of the block on 6th and featured three-stry Grecian columns. Gabled pediments at the fourth floor and heavy ornamentation on the upper two levels and a distinctive corner roof pediment are also of note. Streetcars, automobiles, and pedestrians are of note at the street level. A typed caption pasted at the lower left gives the name and location as well as that of architects Parkinson & Bergstrom. With edge losses, slight tears, browning and some soiling, the condition is fair.
