Description
A photograph of the "Observatory on Mt. Wilson, Cal.," Howard C. Tibbits, ca. 1910s. The view shows a tall steel tower in front of a large low-slung building and a smaller outbuilding directly below the tower. In the foreground is a great deal of shrubs and other plants that partially obscure the structure. The title is written in ink at the bottom of a linen matte, on which the photo is pasted. A stamped number is at the top right, while a crossed out number and one written next to it in pencil are at the bottom right. With some minor soiling and warping on the linen, the condition is good.
