A photograph of Walter and his football teammates, Governor Dummer Academy, Massachusetts, ca. 1926-1929. Walter and his brother Edgar attended the school between 1926 to 1929. Walter and his teammates are standing in a row with their hands behind their backs as they look at the camera. Their uniform consists of a stripped, long sleeved shirt with a solid color on the chest area, trousers with high socks and leather shoes. Walter is third from the left. The young men are in a grassy field and bared trees in the far background. On the reverse, written in black ink, identifies the players, "Dowling?, Page, Wally, Smith." With minor warping, soilin throughout, and mirroring on the bottom lower left corner. It is in good condition overall.
