Description

A photograph used for postcard production, Ramona's house, San Gabriel, ca. 1920. The street view shows a two story adobe building, belongin to the fictional character Ramona, written by Helen Hunt Jackson. There is a short awning with some vines growing at the top as the facade and an adobe wall, most likely surrounding the property. A sign in front identifies the home's owner. A stamp on the reverse identifies a velox print from The Photo Shop, Main Street, Alhambra. The photograph was used by the Edward Mitchell Company to produce postcards. The photograph is in good condition despite the moderate warping.
