Description
"A Place of Worship," E. J. A., postmarked from Los Angeles, 21 October 1909. The image shows a Japanese shrine with a trough smoking with burning material and, behind it, banners with Japanese lettering on them hanging from a horizontal pole. The title and photographers' initials are at the bottom. A message in pencil on the reverse is partially smeared, but the writer talks of moving from the Natick House hotel to a room at 219 N. Broadway across from the city hall and the card is addressed to a woman in Corona, California. With soiling, creased corners and abrasions, the overlal condition is fair.
