Description

A PORTION OF A FENCE FROM DUBOIS WOVEN WOOD FENCE PAMPHLET Color: Black; White A photograph of a portion of a fence from a pamphlet for Dubois Woven Wood fences, ca. 1920s. The horizontal image shows part of a road in the foreground and the fence parallelling it along a slope. The fence consists of thin poles with pointed tops and held together by five sections of horizontal bracingon the other side, as seen in item .7. Behind the fence is a thick grove of trees, but there is little else of note in the image. A caption at the bottom reads "DUBOIS SECTIONS ARE FLEXIBLE--IMPORTANT ON SLOPING GROUND." At the lower left is the inscription "Dubois Woven Wood Fence / Made in France," while at the lower right is "Robert C. Reeves Co. / New York." There appears to be little wear or damage to the artifact, which is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
