Description

A portion of a Mediterranean Revival house at the Hollywoodland subdivision, Los Angeles, ca. 1924. In view is a driveway leading in from the left to an arched garage with a wooden door. From the garage is a stairway with a wall leading to the front door which has a simulated block surround and a cartouche at the center of the plaster lintel over the door. A partially finished set of windows and balcony is over the garage. A walled in balcony with windows from a room are on the sloping hillside to the left. Behind the house is a trough descending the steep hillside and appears to have been for bringing wet cement to the backyard. Some small cypresses, shrubs and bushes are planted in front and there is a rough rock border, as well. The number "32" is in white at the left and some pencil inscriptions on the reverse. The photo was roughly cut at the right, where there is also a notable crease. Adhesive residue is on the reverse also, so the overall condition is poor.
