Description
A PORTION OF THE INSIDE OF A FENCE FROM DUBOIS WOVEN WOOD FENCE PAMPHLET
Color: Black; White
A photograph of a portion of the inside of a fence from a pamphlet for Dubois Woven Wood fences, ca. 1920s. The horizontal image shows part of a lawn in the foreground and the fence in the background, behind a large tree and some bushes. The fence consists of thin poles with pointed tops, held together by four or five sections of horizontal bracing made of thicker, darker colored wood. Above the fence are leaves from what appear to be sycamore trees. A caption at the bottom reads "LOOKING 'BEHIND THE SCENES,' DUBOIS TESTURE IS JUST AS ATTRACTIVE." At the lower left is the inscription "Dubois Woven Wood Fence / Made in France," while at the lower right is "Robert C. Reeves Co. / New York." There appears to be little wear or damage to the artifact, which is in good condition.
