Description

A portion of the Mission Walkway's west elevation under construction, ca. 1924. The view is from atop the unifinished wall of the south side of the walkway and shows a half-dozen workers, half on rough scaffolding working on the arches, while two are below where stacks of adobe bricks are piled up. The last worker is off to the right and appears to be mixing material for making bricks. At the left is part of Evergreen Lane leading to one of the houses of Walter Temple's sisters. At center and right are parts of newly-planted walnut trees and farmland off the ranch in the distance. As this print was made from the original negative, it is mint.
