A cabinet card portrait of a father and son, Frank G. Schumacher, Los Angeles, 1890s. The image shows the man, wearing a black three-piece suit, white shirt, patterned tie and dark shoes and holding a thin cane in his left hand, seated on a faux garden wall. The boy, perhaps about six years old, wears a light checked outfit, shirt with broad white collar and a dark tie as well as black lace up boots. There is a forest backdrop and some grass-like material on the floor. There is a small white spot from an abrasion on the upper left of the image, edge rubbing and some soiling, but the overall condition is good.
