Description
A portrait of Mission Play actor Pedro de Cordoba, John E. Reed, Hollywood, ca. 1947. The image shows the Cuban-French actor, who had a long film career, dressed as Junipero Serra and kneeling in prayer for a brief postwar revival of the play. Reed's mark is at the lower left and an inscription on the reverse reads, "To Juanita Zorraquinos / With every wish for her / happiness and success / Pedro de Cordoba / Pare Junipero." With album paper residue, some silvering and some soiling, the condition is good.
