Description
A postal card issued by The Farmers and Merchants Bank of Los Angeles, 22 January 1881. The preprinted card has space for the date, date of an acknowledged call or letter, and space for a note. At the bottom is the name of bank president Isaias W. Hellman. The note has to do with shares of stock in a company in which Hellman is listed as a trustee. On the reverse is an address to the Bank of Sonoma County at Petaluma, a preprinted one-cent stamp and a postmark from Los Angeles. With some soiling, a few creases, a stain or two and some edge rubbing, the condition is good.
