Description

A postcard advertising "The New Town, South Los Angeles," ca. 1910s. The front has a preprinted message discussing "a delightful day at South Los Angeles" including "a fine Spanish dinner" and advising the recipient to visit "as soon as you can." The name of the developer, Howells Syndicate, Inc. and an image of the "World's Largest Mail Box" are also included. An invitation for a free sightseeing trip and dinner is on the message side of the reverse (and which could be cut out as a ticket). The unused card has browning, soiling, slight tears and creases and is in fair overall condition.
