Description

A postcard from Fred Roy Brinkhous in San Francisco, California to Russell & Maple in Whittier, California. 5 July 1919. Mr. Brinkhous states that he has a 20 acre orange grove, known as Vandewater Orchard, in Strathmore, California which he values at $32,000; however, he is willing to reduce the cost by 35% if he can make an urgent trade for a walnut grove income property or a rentable property. Mr. Brinkhous also offers to include his 3 subdivisions in Lindsay, California, valued at $16,000, in the deal for a larger exchange. Mr. Brinkhous asks for a reply detailing potential trade prospects and commission rates. In a postscript, Mr. Brinkhous states that he will consider Ventura county lands or costal ranches. The number "15" has been written near the right side in colored pencil. Two stamps are present on the back side of the document. With faded text, a minor tear, stains, minor discoloration, minor wear, and minor foxing, the object is in good to fair condition overall.
