Description

A postcard in color, "Glendale Sanitarium, Glendale, Cal.," published The Van Ornum Colorprint Co., Los Angeles, ca. 1910s. The view is of the large four-story heavily-ornamented Queen Anne-style structure and its ornate front landscaping, including roses, lawns, walkways, trees, and bushes. An American flag flies from one of the corner towers of the building. On the reverse is a statement about the sanitarium, which promoted the "rational treatment" of Battle Creek (Michigan.) A message on the reverse of the postally unused card, noted "this is where Papa is to night." With minor soiling and edge abrasions, the overall condition is good.
