Description
A postcard in color of the "Entrance to Inglewood Park Cemetery, Los Angeles, Cal., 300 Acres," issued by the Inglewood Park Cemetery Association, postmarked 11 April 1908. The colored view shows the ornate entrance with decorative iron gates and granite posts, in front of which is a planter bed with flowers. In the distance are sturctures, presumably a chapel and office and a waide drive amidst the rolling hills of the cemetery, which opened in 1905. The company stamp is at the upper left. On the reverse of the postally used card is a German message, a 1-cent stamp, postmarks, and cancellation. With heavy creases, soiling and edge abrasion, the condition is fair.
