Description
A black and white postcard, "Orange Blossoms and Orange Picking," published by J. T. Sheward, Los Angeles, dated 3 December 1905. The card reproduces a cabinet photo of several men, including Chinese laborers and presumably, grove officials, standing with crates and loose fruit near some trees, against which are ladders. The message is on the margins and discusses picking oranges as a pastime at Monrovia with the writer noting warm late fall weather while snow was on the nearby mountains. With minor stains, soiling, corner warping and edge , the overall abrasions, the condition is fair.
