2011.500.1.1Description
A postcard of the "Ruins of Times Bldg., Los Angeles, Cal. Oct, 1, 1910," published by P.C. Co. The photograph from an elevated position in a building cater-corner to the scene shows the smoldering ruins of the newspaper structure, in a terrorist bombing attributed to radical union members. A portion of the structure remained standing at the corner, while the sections to the left were completely obliterated and debris covers the streets. A message on the reverse refers to the tragedy and the difficulty in obtaining postcards, as well. With a small stain in one corner, a few small creases, light soiling and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
