Description
A press photo aerial view of a portion of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, P & A Photos,13 March 1928. The view shows the channel of the aqueduct snaking through a desert area and lacking much of its water. As the caption pasted down on the reverse explained, this was because of the St. Francis Dam collapse, which had just taken place. With some stains, soiling, pest damage at the top margin and a small piece of the upper right corner missing, the overall condition is good.
