Description
A press photo, California Federal Judge Paul McCormick, Los Angeles, 23 October 1924. McCormick, a middle aged man, wears a striped suit and sits resting his left arm on a wooden table. The typed description on the reverse reveals that the photo accompanied a story of the opening session of the governement's suit against the Pan-American Petroleum and Transport Company to cancel Elk Hills naval reserve oil lease granted E. L. Doheny interests. The photograph is in good condition despite moderate surface soiling, warping, and creasing.
