Description
A press photo, "Ed Bolton Taking Bad Spill," R. R. Doubleday, May 1927. The image shows rider Bolton tumbling on the ground and holding with one hand the bridle of the horse, which is nearly vertical and also moving backward toward the rider. In the background is a simple fence, behind which are some spectators and a row of automobiles. The caption and photographer's copyright are at the bottom left. Typed on the reverse is a description of the forthcoming rodeo, held at the American Legion Speedway on Alhambra Boulevard in El Sereno. There is an owner's stamp and other markings. With browning, soiling and some stains, the condition is fair.
