Description
A press photo of a demonstration of a reversible propeller, Los Angeles, 3 December 1929. The view shows A.K. McLeod of the manufacturing company in a light-colored striped suit standing on a ladder next to the propeller on the front of an aircraft. A pasted-down caption on the reverse described specifics of the invention, shown at the Western Aircraft Exposition, including how the reversing acts as a brake in flight and allows the craft to taxi backwards on the ground. With stains at the upper left but not materially affecting the image, light soiling, creases and moderate edge rubbing, the condition is good overall.
