A press photo of Arthur "Bugs" Baer (1886-1969), Los Angeles, 2 August 1929. The image was taken by Culver Pictures, Inc., New York. Baer is wearing a dark suit and stands on the steps of a train cabin. According to the typed description on the reverse, Baer, the New York sports writer, had come to Los Angeles to write the dialogue for Van and Schenck's baseball movie, "Playing the Field." It is in good condition despite the darkening of the image.
