Description
A press photo of aviators Bobbie Trout and Elinor Smith refueling at Los Angeles Metropolitan Airport, 3 December 1929. The two flyers stand and sit on the plane while several men are working on the plane, called the Sunbeam and which was at what is now Los Angeles International Airport, including one in a white shirt and tie doing the refueling. A pasted-down caption on the reverse described the scene, referring to the pilots as "girl flyers" and noting that they were on an endurance flight of an unspecified nature. With light soiling, creases and moderate edge abrasions, the condition is good overall.
